GUTTER WORX
Everything To Know About Our Gutter Services
What is a seamless gutter and why is it better than a standard gutter?
Standard gutters are joined together with seams — every seam is a potential leak point. Gutter Worx manufactures each gutter on-site in one continuous length, cut to your exact roofline. No seams means fewer failure points and a tighter, longer-lasting fit.
What is Leaf Guard and do I need it?
Leaf Guard sits over your gutter and keeps debris out while allowing water to flow through freely. It reduces cleaning frequency and prevents blockages. It's most useful for properties surrounded by mature trees. We can assess whether it makes sense for your home during your free consultation.
Do you install gutters on commercial buildings and multi-storey homes?
Yes. We install and service gutters on all property types — single-storey homes and multi-storey buildings throughout the Cape Breton Regional Municipality.
Can you repair soffit and fascia at the same time as gutter work?
Yes. Damaged fascia must be addressed before a new gutter system is installed — gutters attached to rotted fascia won't hold. If we identify soffit or fascia issues during our assessment, we'll let you know upfront so everything can be handled together.
How do I know if I need a repair or a full replacement?
- Repair: isolated leaks, loose hangers, a section that has pulled away from the fascia.
- Replacement: gutters sagging along their full length, pulling away in multiple sections, or heavily corroded.
Every repair visit includes a full condition assessment; if replacement makes more sense, we'll tell you before any work begins.
My gutters are overflowing but they look fine. What could cause that?
Almost always one of three things: a blockage in the gutter run or downspout, a section that has shifted and is no longer pitched correctly, or an undersized or partially blocked downspout. A cleaning visit resolves most overflow issues.
How long does a gutter installation take?
Most residential installations are completed in a single day. Because we manufacture gutters on-site at your property, there is no wait for pre-cut materials, we arrive with the equipment and fabricate everything on the spot.
What happens during a free consultation?
We visit your property, assess your roofline and existing drainage, take measurements, and identify any soffit or fascia issues. You receive a clear scope of work and pricing before anything is committed. No obligation, no pressure.
How often should gutters be cleaned?
At least twice per year — once in late spring and once in late fall after the leaves have dropped. Properties with heavy tree coverage may benefit from a third cleaning mid-summer. Regular cleaning is significantly less expensive than the fascia rot and foundation damage it prevents.
What does the 5-year craftsmanship warranty cover?
It covers the quality of our installation work. If a gutter section fails due to how it was installed, we address it at no additional cost within the warranty period. For specifics about your situation, contact us directly.
